Why do people get so touchy about rich folks opening doors for their kids At least as far as the U.S. goes I think there is resentment towards the rich rooted in the erosion of upward mobility. I think many Americans believe that is due to the intentions of the rich. The smart thing to do IMHO is to hide your wealth and advantages as much as possible.
