Yes its kinda loud, definitely louder than my predator inverter. In a long term outage Id only run one to two hours a day to keep water & septic pumping and refrigerator & freezer cool. I have a wood stove for heat and an ancient oak tree keeping the house cool. With the propane I have on hand I can go about 1.5months running two hours a day. Its a good budget solution.
