Similar vein: virtually every true Republican I know has no faith in Bo French or most of the county “leadership.” They know one decent candidate who’s slightly left of center, or slightly right of center but believes 1-2 liberal things, can win here pretty easily.

If you could bottle closeted homosexuality and dark Twitter energy into a eau de toilet, it would need to have the word Bo somewhere in it

It did seem severe in panhandle and even OKC had lightning during the NBA Finals last night

For sure. But isn’t like, 1/4 of Houston St. only at 50% occupancy? I feel like we have office space and multifamily. Maybe we could have, as the Friends meme will say, “PIVOTED.”

WFAA at one point called it a “100-year storm.” It doesn’t seem as if it lived up to that billing, but my dog was running around, for sure.

Well, since it’s close to the Trails … and that’s a part of the Trails that can connect downtown and the TCU/Woodshed/HG area to the river area with Heim and Crystal Springs … I guess I thought maybe a bigger park that people could walk or bike through, maybe with small biz vendors … like perhaps I was envisioning Bryant Park in NYC. It’s just a place to connect and chill with SOME capitalism, but not a force-fed amount. I try to bike from east FTW to that Heim/Springs a decent amount, and I’d love a greener place to stop for a second. Maybe I’m just a drooling socialist cuck.

I agree she is not MAGA, and I believe in 2022 or 2023 she even said the party went “too far right,” and had her hand slapped for that. I know for a long time the assumption was that she’d follow Granger; that obviously didn’t happen, and now it seems like they’re minting Macy Hill for Mayor eventually, so Crain got slapped and drilled in that equation. She does play performative games often, and her arguments regarding the Mercy situation were ridiculous because she essentially said “I want to be a financial steward and not get us further sued,” but then the city spent about 850K+ on lawsuits around short-term rentals — the difference being that all that money was funneled to Kelly Hart, which includes many partners that she is socially connected to. So, like all politics, it’s all bullshit. What does worry me about post-Mattie is that Hill is also performative and deeply in the Rivercrest scene, apparently, which just means more of the same.

The apathy is what allows certain people to get in certain slots.
