Same story here. There’s been a family of fox living in the 1/3 acre overgrown blackberry forest between my property and closest neighbor. They’re super cute and my dog (who’s a rodent slayer) keeps track of them and guards our property, pooping around the perimeter and occasionally charging towards the blackberries growling at anything she sees. She doesn’t go into the blackberries because thorns and prickers everywhere. I’m not sure what she’d do if caught one, likely kill it or battle. My hens free range the property half the year when my gardens are not in season and they occasionally forage at or inside the blackberry border. We’ve had this arrangement now four years. I’ve accepted that I could lose one or more of my hens to the foxes and if I do I’ll get some chicks to replace. Circle of life.

No taxes on purchase and selling of coins, wearing gold is tacky on most people, much much higher premiums, potential to lose, basic wear and tear devaluing your investment, draw attention to yourself so it’s a basic violation of operational security; marking yourself, your family and your home as a potential target. There’s so many reasons NOT to be wearing my gold, show it off or risk losing it. edit to add to the reasons NOT to waste money on jewelry: Validating it’s authenticity, penalty inherent to producing fakes as opposed to federal offense for counterfeiting, sustaining the value of purchase and liquidity; if you’re selling jewelry you need an interested buyer whereas with coins any coin shop will buy it.

It is still strange to me, although I used to shoot at an indoor target range using their weapons that anyone needs or would want to own a gun. You’re either not paying attention to the state of affairs in the US (and much of the world) or you’re so damn privileged or ignorant that you don’t care or feel threatened. Brown skin folks (non-whites including natives, black and Asian communities), women, alternative sexual orientations, and basically an entire class of people in this country have every reason to be prepared. When a person is ready, they do not need to get ready. When you can take of yourself and those around you there’s less reasons to be in fear, feel threatened or become victimized. There’s usually at least one post a week in this sub (usually from women) who ask about how to feel safe. Having a firearm and the training to use it effectively is a great equalizer. edit: seeing your username and looking at your profile I can see you’re a matriarch and deserve respect. Please don’t take offense that my first reaction to your statement was fiery, these are trying times.

Just got back in from sighting in my new scope on my home range. Firearms, bow and arrow, martial arts are all a part of lifestyle. Ready for whatever the fuck comes my way. Ill add that I train with friends and neighbors and have contingencies and plans in place.
