Yo OP congrats man, stoked for you! Youre able to go full on with your new knee? Take downs and full grappling? Are you needing to avoid certain techniques or do you have the full catalog you are using? Im a lifelong martial artist, 55 and about 3 months out from RTKR. I figured Id need to only spar with certain conditions, basically not using my knee to block kicks and asking partner not to do take downs on me, especially leg sweeps or grapples. I miss sparring so much, its one of happy places.

I’m dark complected and have been racially profiled more often than I’m comfortable with, they’ve just been wrong. My olive brown skin is different than 99% of white folks, I get questionable looks quite often and occasionally hassled. I look more Middle Eastern than white.

It’s a way off base and unwarranted analogy. In order for Ozzy to be our “Elvis” he’d need to appeal to Boomers and the following generations and held in the same regard. The only connection I can see is the two syllable name, that’s it. Our generation’s Elvis would be Curt Kobain, in my opinion.
