The Al Bundy ex-high school football star syndrome. Bruce Springstein’s hit song “Glory Days”. I’m not one of those people, but I would imagine many of them move onto other groups after school and become popular people in those groups. Regardless, if you want a better existence you have to keep moving forward, keep trying to grow, keep trying to create new stuff in your life.

People will tell you to get therapy or some other kind of help. Good ideas, honestly. However, you will never change unless you accept that to move forward with anything worth having you will have to do things when you do not feel like doing them.

I think downvoting makes it worse. People do that instead of dealing with things they don’t like reading in other ways. I think it trains redditors to be mean. If you bring up the idea that downvoting should go away you will get angry responses defending and rationalizing downvoting.
