I dont know wtf youre talking about with regards to hiring and resumes. ffs. Its a very simple point. Not everyone liked Charlie Kirk, and not everyone who disliked him was a leftist. His killer was not a green haired trans activist from San Francisco as many MAGA were predicting. He comes from a very conservative background. That doesnt prove hes conservative, it just makes it statistically more likely. Sure, Mormons wouldnt have wanted him to do this. Neither would leftists, or most MAGA. But sometimes religious people do things their peers wouldnt have wanted them to do. In fact, it happens rather regularly, dont you think? Lots of Christians have been caught doing abhorrent things. Doesnt change the fact that they are Christians.

Nah, youre just desperate for a counter-narrative. That being said, Im open minded. I dont trust NY Post at all, but for entertainment purposes lets assume this story is true, and that not only did the killer have a trans roommate but they are romantic partners. Even that at face value doesnt prove anything. There are trans conservatives, you people act like Kaitlyn Jenner doesnt exist (dont worry, we do the same.) While that certainly could be A possible motive, this fact alone wouldnt cement that as the motive. More info would be needed to establish that this was the reason why the killer targets Charlie Kirk. It would still be possible that the killer had other motives. But this would definitely stick out as a prominent lead that warrants more looking into for sure, theres no denying that.

And again, freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. I can do this all day, I have no issue repeating myself 🙂 Freedom of speech literally means freedom from consequences from the government. The government cannot violate your constitutional 1st amendment right for protected speech. Morality has nothing to do with that. We have already gone over what isnt protected speech and none of it encompasses Charlie Kirk, no matter how sad his death was or how saintly you believe him to be. In America, you can express your opinions without reprisal from the government in any form. If the government violates your constitutional rights, you can successfully sue them. Its happened many times before, even for service members, and it will happen again when the government again violates the constitutional laws they must abide by. Military service members cannot be dismissed for morality reasons if it violates their constitutional rights. Constitutional rights come first. To help you understand your own point you are trying to make, that means if a service member does an act of immorality that goes beyond protected speech, such as lying with the intent to commit fraud or theft, that could be dismissible. However, saying wow, the look on Charlie Kirks undersized face when his neck erupted made me laugh uncontrollably, that would be protected 1st amendment speech that the government cannot legally in any way interfere with or reprimand you for.

Again, it’s not saying something negative about Charlie, it is laughing that a guy was assassinated for standing up for what he believed in. How do you still not understand the difference, you don’t have to like him, you don’t have to care that he died, you just shouldn’t laugh at him because that shows a lack of morals. Respectfully, this has nothing to do with constitutional rights. You keep making these childish emotional arguments. Nothing in the constitution says you cant laugh at an assassination. In fact it quite explicitly says you have the freedom of speech to do so. You dont have to like it and it can make you really sad and angry. That has nothing to do with the discussion at hand which about how Americans, including service members, have the freedom to express themselves even if it hurts your feelings. It has ZERO to do with morality. You are the one who doesnt understand what I am saying, or what this discussion is even truly about.
