Nate Silver is a whiny little cringe bitch goblin who should shut the fuck up for the rest of his life.

From a horror perspective, this movie had it all. Tension. Anxiety. Creepy. Scary. Jump scares. Horrific creature design. Never leaning too much on any one type of horror. It was a cascade of different horror aspects, and never let up from beginning to end. Naomi Scott acted her ass off and was a brilliant choice for MC. I didnt think the story or pacing was perfect. But certainly serviceable or better. But as a horror movie, this movie fucks. 9/10 cant wait to show it to first timers.

Were just going to try pretend that the blatant corruption isnt totally blatant and obvious, huh journalists? Its not exactly subtle.

Not entirely sure why you got downvoted but yes, more people should be able to easily connect these dots. Trump and Republicans are going to further dismantle healthcare; we can pretty much say good bye to protections for pre-existing conditions and hello to even higher costs. They are also coming for our social security and any other possible social safety nets they can raid for profit. If this event was a symptom of the societal backlash against the elite class walking all over us, its about to get much, much worse.

Whats worse is that as time goes on and technology further advances, we only discover more imaginative and effective ways to kill ourselves. Kinetic rod bombardments from space, or even crashing meteors into the planet, or developing precision nano machines that could target specific nationalities or other genetic markers for killing, are all in our eventual future as a species. We are not far enough removed from our relatively recent hunter/gatherer tribal nature to handle these technological advances, I fear.

I want to subscribe to Skidmark facts like these.

Thats true, but thats not the issue at hand. The issue is do we allow nuclear proliferation to happen rather than try to prevent it? Theres no disarming nations that already have them after Ukraine, but now going forward more nations will, reasonably, want to build their own nuclear arsenal. Do we allow that to happen where we are reasonably able to prevent it?

Hes much more likely to get caught due to the ego boost hes likely received from all the positive attention. Imagine preplanning to do the unthinkable – murder someone, making sure to take all the steps to do it quickly, cleanly, and make a getaway unidentified and then you see so many people basically celebrating you for it. Now he might feel emboldened, or at very least more inclined to disclose it to close confidants and take credit.

Technology and general education has accelerated unimaginably faster than our rudimentary evolutionary physiology and psychology can keep up with. We are doomed to understand our hypothetical potential as a future peaceful and enlightened species while still struggling to free ourselves from our primitive and tribal instincts. Behind the facade of organized society, in truth we are still hardly more than apes with nukes.

Yep. They either find the actual killer, or they find someone to pin it on so they put the ruling class at ease that they did their jobs and will catch anyone who would dare do something like that in the future.
