It is gross. It’s the “Private Equity” market. It’s one of the things Governor Hochul is trying to stop. This is happening all around us. Whole sections of the city are owned by out-of-town corporations, nameless and faceless. Just like big apartment complexes, you drive by a city neighborhood not knowing that all the houses are owned by a greedy corporation.

I see you have consumed the “both sides” Kool-Aid. I don’t like to argue with Trumpers, but I want to present some information that other people might see in this thread: Every election is a term limit. If you don’t like who’s in office vote that person out. Artificial term limits benefit the large donors and corporations. You replace one bad official with another bad official who has been paid off by the same corporate lobbyists. Term limits are not the answer. Voting is the answer.

It sounds like you are looking for a place with people, rather than just a location. I was going to suggest Ontario Beach Park, Mendon ponds Park, or the hill at the top of highland Park. If you’re looking for a supportive place with people you’re going to have to find your people. Your tribe, your spirit. Let me suggest you spend some time thinking about who your people are. Once you figure that out you might be able to find a place where they hang out. For me, it’s anti-Trump groups, demonstrations, and zoom meetings.
