I actually have a little bit of sympathy for Jeezus people. Most of them were conditioned from early childhood – very much like victims of pedophilia are groomed by their abusers. So when those fools ask me what happened, I tell them I gave up on believing the bullshit. It was really refreshing to let go of the lies. In the past, I put energy into trying to believe the bullshit – now I put energy into being comfortable with the unknown future.

If I understand what prayer is, it’s impossible to prevent someone from praying anywhere. The issue here is whether they can insist that their students join them in prayer, and if the students choose not to join the prayer they will be punished and ostracized. That’s the problem I have with it.
