I dunno. I fucking loath cops. Fucking ACAB. Unfortunately, I do think they are a necessity of a functional society. But part of that function would be the laws applying to them as well. ACAB. Until they aren’t. I think we may be able to move forward at some point, but not in my lifetime. So I’m just blabbering for no reason I suppose. Because yeah, fuck the police. These jack booted thugs weren’t walking with anyone other than the blue line.

No. Untill qualified immunity ends and criminal cops stop getting tax payer bailouts, when the Supreme Court reverses thier ruling that cops have no duty to protect or arrest, ACAB. When police get to violate the law, with little to no repercussions, they are quite literally an upper caste of society that aren’t beholden to the moral and societal contract we hold with them that gives them the authority to end people’s lives. ACAB. Edit: One more on the list for redemption would be civil asset forfeiture. That’s a throwback from the pirate days that let’s cops steal money from people with no due process, and the station gets to keep a portion of the money. Look that shit up. This is beyond just some “reform”. It needs to be rebuilt. The whole formation of police in the US are slave hunters.

This. ACAB. But some are far, far worse than the rest. I can respect a cop following the law and not violating the constitution. But I also respect an anaconda. Doesn’t mean I think they are good, or that any of them, cops included, aren’t snakes.
