I am not enough into USian politics to argue about most of your points, just gonna debate about the one i know enough. I mean how much do you need to know, to determine that being a 34-time felon is bad? That being adjudicated for rape is bad? That believing the president can commit literally any crime with impunity, is bad? That the president being unsure if they are supposed to defend the constitution, our foundational document on which all presidents are sworn an oath to defend when taking office, is bad? This isnt trigonometry. The Birthright-citizenship is something pretty special to common-law states and not really a strong point. Many countries worldwide have “ius sanguinis” instead of “ius soli” and it works just fine (and imo is the superior solution with way easier law control) It doesnt matter what you think works well in other places. Here in the US, the constitution is the law of the land, and in it, it clearly states people are entitled to birthright citizenship. There is a process to remove such law, but Trump and GOP dont have near the votes to succeed in the process, so they do it illegally instead. Do I really need to explain why this is bad? Your last sentence is completely useless. Trump isnt despised by conservatives, in fact hes been the most popular among conservatives of all time, even beating out Reagan in popularity. They arent holding their nose to vote for him, they do it with glee in their Trump wrapped trucks waving their trump flags. You have no clue about the politics or political landscape here, and it shows.

Harris – not a felon. Not adjudicated for sexual assault or caught bragging about sexual assault. Doesnt believe the presidency is above the law. Isnt unsure if she should defend the constitution. All in stark contrast to Trump. Trump admin – believes its ok to suspend due process. Wants to eliminate birthright citizenship and revoke citizenship from legal US citizens, especially those who disagree with Trump politically. Believes its ok to send people, who have never been convicted of any crimes, to a foreign torture prison to serve a life sentence outside of US jurisdiction, a service they paid millions of dollars of taxpayer money for. Harris – none of those things. Theres no comparison. Centrism and both-siding this just makes people look ridiculous.

How hard is it to choose a side between one that believes in science, education, and taking care of its citizens vs one that elects a felon, fraudster, sexual assaulter who literally believes he has impunity to commit any crime he wants including murdering his political opponents? Centrism here is no less foolish than choosing centrism between the side that believes the earth is flat and the one that knows it is spherical. Or the side that thinks the earth is the center of the solar system or the side that knows the sun is. But there are always those who think if they walk into the middle of an argument between two parties surely the right thing to do is tell them they are both equally wrong or some such. Is that a suitable argument for you?

Yep.

Those are nice strawman arguments but it doesnt change the fact that just picking the middle ground between two sides is rarely correct or prudent.

True, but not relevant to the discussion at hand.

Enlightened centrism is the low iq lazy way to attempt discourse. Do better.

Trump is a known, adjudicated fraudster and was facing prison if he lost. Hes not the kind of person to leave his fate up to chance. It was never a matter of if he would cheat. Of course he would/did.

Thats fair but given all thats going on lately, it shouldnt even break into the top 100 reasons to be outraged. It doesnt deserve the attention it has been getting.

Enlightened centrism is a joke. Like literally a joke, not a term of endearment lol. It is used to make fun of people like you.
