Getting ghosted and dumped isn’t something we can get used to. It isn’t like something we can learn. However, I think after time we learn a stronger and more resilient attitude toward ourselves. The pain of all those ghostings and dumpings forces us to see ourselves as more resilient and more powerful.

I also miss sharing experiences. Like today I took a 10 mile bicycle ride along the Erie Canal in the sunshine and 72°. And nobody to share the experience with.

It’s more accurate to say: You don’t have to show all of your emotions to anybody. It’s okay to keep some of them to yourself.

It would be nice if it was that simple. I believe there are many factors that influence a person’s sex drive. I have met women whose sex drive disappears when they are treated nicely. They think a man who treats them like a queen is actually a queen himself.

I had the same experience just last week. Her profile disappeared from the dating app. Fortunately, I had made screenshots so I’ll be able to recognize her again in the future. She had given me her phone number, so I made a couple of attempts to contact her by text message. She finally got back to me a couple days later. She was angry because I was not athletic enough for her. Fitness and athleticism never came into the conversation. Neither of our profiles mentioned it. In fact, her profile shows a comparatively frumpy person. My guess is this: She worked very hard to become very attractive, but didn’t update her profile for some reason. She may have mixed feelings about the situation. Nevertheless, her true attitudes came out in the end.
