Some women just love to torture men, the way a cat plays with a mouse before killing it. Your prior experience (or lack of it) has programmed you. Some people would say conditioned you. You’re going to have to break out of your mindset in order to move into the dating world.

He might be a nice guy, but he has a mean streak. He seems to have a need to treat you as an object, and to do that in front of other people. I think you should dump him.

I know a couple of women with herpes, and it’s a significant burden for them. I wouldn’t want to be burdened with the task of revealing something like that to a prospective partner.

First, I must say that hearing a compliment from a woman is extremely rare. We may not even pick up on it, or we may dismiss it as idle chatter. That being said, I would appreciate a compliment about something I’ve accomplished. Being tall is NOT an accomplishment; being compassionate and caring IS. Of course, it never hurts to tell a guy you LIKE him.
