His problem is a very familiar one. Boys are told, all their lives, that they are worthless. Parents tell them that and girls reinforce it. You won’t be able to teach him better, he will need to learn it on his own. He should probably consider counseling. It can be very difficult to unlearn a lifetime of negative reinforcement.
