Near the top of your written profile, add a comment that instructs the reader to read your whole profile. Say something like “Read my profile or you’ll be sorry”. That comment will probably have an effect, because guys don’t want to bother with a woman who will hate them. Some dating sites present pictures without profiles and the men select you based on your picture. One of those is Zoosk. Avoid those if you don’t want to be selected just for your picture. So let me get this straight: You are getting too many responses based upon your photo? It’s hard to imagine that being a complaint. Women always complain about getting too many responses, while men don’t get any responses. It’s hard for us men to imagine that world, but we try.

I’ve had a couple of strange girlfriends. I had one take off and move to another state without saying anything. I was afraid she got mugged or killed or something. She had had some troubling experiences in the past which caused her to behave strangely, but I didn’t know it at the time. I had another girlfriend that dumped me, took me back, and dumped me more than once; and never gave me a reason. She had personal problems too, which I didn’t know about at the time. You will recover. Give it time. And try to let go of the pain so you don’t bring this pain forward with you to your next girlfriend.

Some women are really into assholes. They like guys who are violent, criminal, and destitute. I don’t understand it either.

Older women understand that there can be love and arousal at the same time. As they age they start to complain about lack of arousal and look for younger men.

Maybe you can invent a relationship that works for you. Polyamorous relationships can work that way. You can spend a lot of your time alone while periodically hooking up with your shared female. That kind of thing would work fine for me.

I didn’t mean anything like that. If you are tired of having men contact you because of your looks, remove your photos and replace them with pictures of cats and houseplants.

The clock was ticking for me, and I didn’t fully realize it. As men age through the decades the women we seek prefer to have fantasy relationships with celebrities than with real men.
