I’m from an older generation so I’m comfortable with either way. Some women are insulted with the idea of sharing expenses and other women are insulted with the idea of NOT sharing expenses. Women spend money on dating. They get their hair done, spend money on cosmetics and (hopefully) contraception. So I wouldn’t complain about the cost of a cup of coffee. As for the woman in your story: she’s just playing with you.

Believe me, I have the same puzzlement about the choices women make. Women choose to be abused, cheated on, financially victimized, and when things don’t work out they look for another horrible guy.

“Confidence” is just a buzzword for other things that mean different things to different people. It’s like saying “chemistry”.

I didn’t say that a woman should take care of it. However, she usually does take care of it because she is the one who will be most affected by a pregnancy.
