If you do a web search on “The Dirty Dozen Of Produce” you can get a list of produce that gets the most insecticides. Those would be good candidates to buy organic. I’ve seen articles claiming that soaking produce in baking soda or rinsing it with various vegetables washes significantly reduces pesticides. Other articles claim that they do not. I haven’t researched it.

I don’t know why you are being downvoted for a comment about price in a subbreddit call /r/EatCheapAndVegan

I couldn’t find them on Amazon. Can you post a picture of the ingredients list?

There are people in /r/EatCheapAndVegan like /u/cheapandbrittle who work hard to make this subreddit into a place for friendly chit-chat between vegans. It is unfortunate that they are outnumbered.

Great idea for saving money, even if you don’t eat that much in a meal you can put the mix into a container for later.

Lead can stay in your body for decades. Aside from that, I’ve seen this and similar products before. Many aren’t vegan and almost all of them aren’t healthy. There are vegan recipes on the web for Japanese curry if you got to have it.

I’m not taking my Kindle anywhere near my kitchen. I don’t think I would buy a cookbook in e-book form. In my experience with my Kindle e-ink reader it works great for novels, but it a bit cumbersome for non-fiction texts. When I get serious about cooking I am more likely to use printed cookbooks. My own, a new one, or one I try out from the library. My local public library has vegan cookbooks and a lot of vegetarian cookbooks. Since it is the library I can even check out an omni cookbook, then veganize and write down the recipes I like.

Many Quorn products aren’t vegan.
