Ive long maintained the notion that as soon as it stops happening, Im out. Fifteen years, thousands of gigs, and I still get that feeling as Im walking out to FOH before the band hits.

You more or less touched on all of the key contributors to the betterness. 1) Theyve been doing the damn thing for more than three decades, so theyre probably pretty polished. 2) They can afford the best gear and the best crew, both of which can and should add up to a star-level show.
