Thank you for dropping a comment, I felt like i was losing my mind. And regarding ignoring the break in period. Im looking at 1 year old Honda type Rs with the thought process, at least they rev match automatically for these jabronies but Ive been wondering if people who owned them were straight ignoring the break in period I think I know the answer. Too bad Honda wants MSRP + my first born for a new one. Goddam

Dude, I know. This sub has convinced me I should never buy a used manual. People saying they relay on the clutch to rev match.. wtf. Yea you no longer need to double clutch because we got synchros but my god, you cant just be slamming shit into gear..

Bro, you need to rev match on down shifts. Shifting up you just need to work on timing. Down shifting its timing + rev. Its not too difficult and you arent going to hurt the car while you figure it out. Again, you wont hurt the car while you figure it out. But anyone that says its not necessary is an idiot. Especially when they admit that youll just need to replace the clutch eventually. Thats a $1,200-$2,500 replacement.

They cant do it properly so they have to make a post to Reddit to try and say its normal not to. Only the newest cars have auto rev matching and they have it because youre supposed to rev match. Why the fuck would a manufacturer spend money to add this feature if it wasnt necessary in the first place?

From a performance driving instructor. I get youre not going to kill your clutch day one by incorrectly using it. But its unnecessary wear and stress if you arent blipping your throttle to try and somewhat match the rpms of your engine and trans. Why would performance cars have rev matching advertised as a feature if a clutches function included it in the first place? Come on man, this is common sense. Again, I get you can get away doing it, its not gonna kill your clutch / trans right away but its unnecessary stress and wear.
