Tbh the military might be more trustworthy and upstanding than the current state of the police force. At least they have actual discipline and accountability. Im not justifying, just pointing out that todays police are pretty far removed from the ideal of to serve and protect. More like serve you your ass and protect the interests of the rich.

Yeah, 95-99% of the time when someone gets in a shootout with the police, they end up dead or in the hospital shortly after. But this 57 year old fat white guy is just a random anomaly who happened to outmaneuver them.

I agree, but it sure seems like proper procedure is only followed in certain circumstances. I would also argue that by letting the 57 year old fat white MAGA assassin get away, more innocent people may die as a result.
