True, true – Alaska deserves this. But in truth, America as a whole deserves it too. Ill never understand why we have done this to ourselves and to the world. It wasnt bad enough that Trump lost 2.7 million jobs and got hundreds of thousands of Americans killed unnecessarily in his first term, now we went back so he can wreck the economy – again, destroy our alliances, and isolate us.

This is the real backlash. Its not companies choosing not to sell, its consumers choosing not to buy. Because they are pissed off. Even if Orange dipshit reversed tariffs (again?) the damage is done and our allies dont like us anymore, and dont want to support us. We will see across the board declines from most of our trading partners, I imagine.

You think they are planting evidence on a random citizen in the most high profile murder case in years? Why does that seem unthinkable to you? The shooter riled up the richest and most powerful class in the most powerful country in the world. Ask yourself if you truly believe the authorities would be content with we have no suspect and no leads for a prolonged period of time, even if that were legitimately the case? They would never allow the perception that someone could do that and get away with it.

Trump supporters are unserious people who argue in bad faith consistently. They dont actually care about anything beyond feeling like their team is winning. Zero principles, zero morals, none of the things they argue for or against actually matter beyond winning what is, in their minds, a zero-sum game.

This is what really upsets me. Theres no cleaning this up in any reasonable timeframe. The damage this administration is doing will cause long lasting, justified resentment; because why would anyone trust a government that can, in the course of one election go from reasonable status quo to outright fascistic, racist, sexist, garbage trolling at the highest levels of government? One administration honors your sacrifice and work, while the next shits all over you, your identity, your sacrifice, etc. What a pathetic disgrace.

Thats assuming theres no additional fascist bumps in the road after he and his ilk is gone, which is wholly unrealistic. The sad truth is that America has changed, permanently, and it will never be like it was again. We will be dealing with sycophantic authoritarian grifters for the rest of our lives, and the idiots who continue to put them in charge against their own self-interests.

How are investigative reporters going to prove something was planted? Criminals claim planted evidence all the time and often they are lying, but also often they are telling the truth. I dont think a case being high profile really makes it any more or less likely that the police will be untrustworthy and plant evidence. But I DO think that when someone in the most protected, privileged, and powerful class is murdered, especially by a presumed lower class individual, that exponentially raises the probability of corruption and false evidence in order to quell the perception that the ruling class is vulnerable.
