Racism is based on race or ethnicity. Calling Mexicans lazy is as racist as calling Floridians lazy.

At the risk of sounding a bit racist, I only experience this with whites. When Im around my fellow brown people (Asian, Hispanic, etc.), the closest I get to that is being asked if I speak x language.

Its all a very targeted thing. Having lived in cali from 2011-2024, the way idiots from other states think they feel about California, has been informed by right wing morons on fucks news. Theyve never actually been there though. Beyond that, I dont think its as rampant as they would have you believe.
