The reason the GOP hates mail voting is because they cant pull their usual historical stunts, like moving or closing minority polling places. If people mailed their votes in, they cant disenfranchise Dems nearly as easily.

Unnecessary hoops to jump through to have your ballot counted is disenfranchisement, plain and simple.

Theyre against legalization because it takes a huge piece off the board re: arresting minorities. Not as easy to shuffle poor brown folk into for-profit prisons.
