This is a Pardosa sp., a Thin-legged Wolf Spider. Many spiders that live in cold climates have what are called AFPs in their hemolymph. AFPs are AntiFreeze Proteins and keep the spider from freezing completely solid. In my state of Alaska in the US, we have many species of spider, and insect, that are still amiable even at freezing temps. Some spiders can even survive temps all the way to -90°F. Seeing spiders on snow and ice is not as uncommon as you’d think. Pityohyphantes can survive all winter without going into diapause(spider hibernation for overwintering).

I would just leave it at Thomisidae with the pic given. No way to see the eyes or setae to be sure Misumenops vs Mecaphesa.

This is 100% not an Uloboridae of any sort.

The one pictured is a female and her palps are tucked under her in that image. The females have slender pedipalps/palps whereas the males have what are called palpal bulbs and are rounded on the end. This is where the males store their sperm and where the embolus(spider penis) is.

Fun facts about Tegenaria domestica- males live for about one year while the females can live up to seven years. The females will move out of their web once it is too small for them, and make a new bigger one above their last. They don’t take down their old web which is then used by younger males or females.

And I see it says location included but I can’t find it. If you aren’t in BR territory, it is a different Recluse species altogether most likely. If in Florida, this will be a Loxoceles rufescens as my buddy Lou works with Recluse there and is the leading arachnologist covering Recluse in Florida.

Recluse bites don’t swell, btw. They get a bit red around the bite area which will be white at first. The area will then sink due to the cytotoxic venom destroying the cells. No inflammation occurs during the whole 2 week bite healing process. And you can live your whole life with Recluse and never be bit. It is extremely rare to be bit in the first place and even rarer for a confirmed envenomation to become necrotic.

Looks nothing like one other than being brown. Most spiders are brown.
