He didnt even try. He capitulated in advance. Make the case to the people. Go on tv, go to events. Tell people what single payer is and how much money it would save. He was probably the smoothest politician ever in front of a crowd. Make people demand single payer from their representatives. Theres no way to know for sure but I wish he had tried.

It wasnt just laziness. While I agree they shouldve gone out and voted there is nuance. Some felt like they didnt get a choice because there wasnt a primary after Biden stepped down. Others felt like Gaza was fucked either way and were too blind to see how much worse Trump would be. Still others didnt feel represented by either party because there wasnt anything substantial that would help them in either platform. Ive talked to these people. So while I strongly disagree with them I can empathize. Hopefully if we have free & fair elections again more people will see how dire the situation has become. Edit:grammar

Indianapolis is solid Democrat but yeah, most of the state did.

So you’re ok with gerrymandering? I’m on the left, but I’m not ok with either side doing that. Every vote should be equal, which is why the electoral college should be eliminated as well.

That makes zero sense. Ranked choice just literally means we get more choices. You rank them on your ballot who you like the most. If your choices get the most votes, they move on to the next round. Everyone’s vote still counts but we don’t have to just choose one and there’s no such thing as a spoiler candidate.

How can we trust the current system where every election is between the lesser of two evils?
