I always remember Kylara and the comment from someone, maybe Flar or Fnor, that Prideth was displeased with her rider. It seems unlikely that she would be the first or last person to ever get on their dragons bad side.

They seem to be capable of choosing while still in the egg. I remember a couple impressions where the dragonet made a B-line for their chosen rider.

There’s a game for the Sega Dreamcast. I enjoyed it at the time. Not sure it holds up well though lol

Same. I found her books during a very lonely time of my life in middle school. I fell in love with Menollys story and had to read all of the stories on Pern.

I dont recall anything like that from the books, and the Pern wiki doesnt list it. Its possible Todd added it but it mightve just been an error.

Same! Though Ill always have a soft spot for Dragon Song & Singer since they were my first books by her.

It wasn’t just Ramoth and Mnementh, it seems to be every dragon on Pern. I wish we could’ve seen an alternate timeline where Robinton became a dragon rider.

Rgul most likely served the rest of his days as a wing leader then quietly retired. Hed no shot of ever regaining his position with Hath being so much smaller than Mnementh. I remember Menolly did return to Half-Circle to see Alemi and ask him about moving to Paradise River but I dont see her ever speaking to her parents again. I do recall Alemi having some inner monologue about how their parents never brought her up and basically pretended she didnt exist.

The first one I agree, it is curious why hes so fond of her. The second I always just assumed he was an old misogynist like so many men on Pern.

I agree, I just think it would’ve been interesting. The connection he had with dragons as a non-rider was something else.
