I have the 5x on my AR and its fantastic, I love it. Poor mans acog. Im not sure I understand your question about it though op. The eye relief is very forgiving, never had much fuss putting it on, never lost focus on it. Its a solid unit.

I don’t have children so I get that but I still own rare coins and a lot of precious metals and they’re only going up in value. Unless OP needs the money rn it’s not a wise thing to do. Most of these X’rs do have kids and so I thought to mention that.
